a word from the artist
Hello friend! My name is Ariel and I am making an album called Make Yourself at Home - a collection of songs about home, faith, grief, and love.
I’ve spent years writing these songs, and now I’m taking the next step: bringing them to life. Recording music is an incredible process, but it also comes with real costs: studio time, musicians, mixing, mastering, artwork, and everything in between.
If my music has ever made you feel seen, encouraged, nostalgic, hopeful, or a little less alone, I’d love for you to be part of making this album happen!
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me take another step toward finishing this record. And if you can’t give, sharing my music with someone who might connect with it means just as much.
Thank you for believing in these songs and helping me make a little more room for them in the world.
xo Ariel
Artist bio
Ariel Ray Pressley is a South Carolina singer-songwriter making honest, rootsy music somewhere between folk, country, indie, and Americana. With a warm, expressive voice and a love for storytelling, Ariel writes about the things that make us human—home, faith, love, grief, loneliness, growing up, and learning how to stay soft in a complicated world.
Her music is deeply personal, but never meant to belong only to her. Ariel takes ordinary moments and turns them into songs that invite listeners to recognize pieces of their own stories.
Her current music marks the beginning of a new chapter. Following the release of her single “Simple,” Ariel is continuing to share songs leading toward her larger body of work, Make Yourself at Home—a collection exploring what it means to lose, love, believe, grow, and discover where you belong. Her upcoming single, “Nobody’s Lonely,” continues that story with an honest look at connection and the loneliness we can experience even when surrounded by people.
Ariel is currently writing, recording, and booking live performances throughout South Carolina and beyond. Whether playing an intimate acoustic set, a coffeehouse, listening room, church gathering, or community event, she brings a thoughtful, story-driven performance centered around original music.
